The Plot to Stall Ndudi Elumelu Committe Power Probe Report

Recent events in the National Assembly are indicating that they is a plan to stall or possibly burn the yet to be tendered report of the National Assembly committee on power. With the recent comment credited to the Chairman of the committee Mr. Ndudi Elumelu, that the National Independent Power Project (NIPP) initiated by former president Olusegun Obasanjo was illegal only points to he fact that all the principal actors of the project would be indicted.

In this regard, the investigation of the bribery allegations leveled against the committee is only a ploy to stall the presentation of the report. Firstly, why wasn't the allegation investigated before now, the committee in the cause of conducting the probe mentioned that certain personalities had approached it with money to look the other way. lastly why isn't the EFCC investigating the allegation, asking the ethics committee to investigate will only result in unnecessary delays.

In my opinion I have a deep feeling that Liyel Imoke has a role to play in this drama just like other actors. This a PDP plot to allow him re contest the election in Cross river State as the election was nullified by an Appeal court, and given the calls from various quarters for his arrest. Part of the plan is to delay the submission of the report until after the elections must have been conducted (they must be certain that Imoke will win). I have nothing against the former Governor, but I request that justice be served not just against him but everyone that decided to hold power for themselves. Please 'let there be light'
